Inclusive Taekwondo Manual Announcement!
For the past 20 years, Master Moon has successfully operated his own Taekwondo business, Tae Kuk Martial Arts, in Bethesda and Chevy Chase. His focus has always been on making Taekwondo accessible to individuals of all ages, genders, and abilities. This commitment is most clearly demonstrated by his long-standing partnership with KEEN Greater DC - Baltimore (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now), where he has volunteered since 2001 to teach martial arts to children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities.
Master Moon’s dedication to inclusive Taekwondo instruction eventually led him to develop and self-publish an original, 180+ page inclusive Taekwondo instruction book titled Inclusive Taekwondo: Empowering All Abilities through a New Lens.
As the founder of MoonBooks Publishing House and with experience in publishing my own science fiction novel, The Moonshot Saga: Earthbound, I was incredibly excited when my father began writing his own book. Although his book wasn’t a sci-fi novel, it was deeply personal and centered around his passion for Taekwondo and his experiences with the KEEN organization. His goal was to create a manual that would be dedicated to his students, especially those with disabilities.
Given my experience with editing and publishing, I took it upon myself to help my father format and structure the entire book, including the book cover design and meticulous editing. From eliminating double commas and spaces to ensuring all grammar and punctuation were correct, my previous experience with polishing my novel made this process much smoother. Inclusive Taekwondo marks the second book and release from MoonBooks Publishing House. We hope to continue publishing more works in the future, as it’s been an incredible journey to bring these projects to life.
My father has been working on this book for over a year, and I only began editing a month and a half ago. It was a rewarding experience to help him finish this process, complete the publishing, and handle all the logistics afterward. If you’re interested in checking out this book or learning more, you can find Inclusive Taekwondo on Amazon or through our local community champions. Thank you for your support!
