The Inclusive Taekwondo Second Book Signing

I had the pleasure of attending my second book signing for the inclusive Taekwondo manual that my father and I co-authored and published over the summer of 2024.  Although our first signing was with students from the Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) Foundation, this second event allowed us to reach even more students, providing them with access to their own copies and showing our continued support. This time, my entire family joined in, taking photos and sharing in the experience, which made the event even more memorable.

These book signings have shown me the value of community inclusion and the powerful role that both students and instructors can play in creating a supportive environment. By working together as a family, we've been able to make a positive impact, inspiring us to consider further steps. Following this event, we felt motivated to enhance our program by using our inclusive manual, complete with reference images, to develop a specialized curriculum tailored for our dedicated students.

Additionally, the success of these signings has inspired us to pursue a Maryland state grant proposal to secure funding for a program my father founded to support students with disabilities. These book signings have been a meaningful part of our journey, showing me that writing, publishing, and teaching create lasting connections across communities. Writing truly is a universal language that bridges generations, allowing us to support and connect with students from all backgrounds.
